Potential Destinations
Three clubs are linked with Jackson’s future. Trabzonspor, fresh from signing Mohamed Salah on a free, have shown interest but the Blues’ refusal to entertain loans complicates any deal. Atletico Madrid, according to Fabrizio Romano, are “keen” but their financial situation may prevent them from meeting Chelsea’s demands. Both clubs have reportedly increased discussions with the Blues, yet no concrete offer has materialised.
Aston Villa’s Interest
Aston Villa’s need for a Premier League-proven striker was highlighted after a 4-0 defeat to Brighton. With Ollie Watkins likely to move to Saudi Arabia and Brian Madjo still too young, the club has turned to Jackson. Unai Emery has reportedly agreed personal terms with the Senegalese forward. Villa are the frontrunners, and a bid is expected in the coming days. Chelsea has even explored a swap deal via sister club Strasbourg, which could loan Jackson to Villa under UEFA’s 45-day rule.
Jackson’s Premier League record stands at 24 goals in 65 matches, and he scored 11 goals across all competitions for Bayern last season. These figures, while not spectacular, are sufficient for top clubs to take a chance. The transfer window remains open, and Villa’s bid could be the first step toward a permanent move for the striker.
